Two things surprise people about the Trailblazer's equipment list. The first is the screen: 11 inches diagonally, standard on the $23,300 LS, which is larger than the base screen in the Trax next to it in the showroom. The second is that the driver-assistance suite is standard across the range rather than a package you climb the trims to reach.
The crash-test picture is mixed, and this page publishes all of it. Both NHTSA and the IIHS have results on record for the 2026 Trailblazer, the two bodies measure different things, and the tables below carry each organisation's ratings in its own wording. 2026 Trailblazer Infotainment and Connectivity
Every Trailblazer carries the same 11-inch diagonal HD colour touchscreen and the same wireless phone projection, from the LS upward. Nothing about the interface is trim-dependent.
The driver gets a separate 8-inch diagonal information screen behind the wheel. Six speakers are standard, and a Bose audio system is available. Wireless charging is available, as is a hands-free power liftgate, and every trim includes push-button start and Wi-Fi hotspot capability.

Hands-Free Driving
Super Cruise and Hands-Free Driving on the Trailblazer
Super Cruise is not offered on the Trailblazer. It is a GM hands-free driver-assistance system fitted to other, larger and more expensive vehicles in the range, and no Trailblazer trim or package includes it. Anyone shopping specifically for hands-free highway driving needs a different model, and we will point you to the ones that have it rather than talk around the question.
What the Trailblazer does offer is a conventional driver-assistance set: the standard six-feature Chevy Safety Assist suite on every trim, plus the three aids in the Driver Confidence Package. Those are described in full in the two sections below, and they cover the situations that actually fill a commute here, which is following distance in slow traffic and awareness of what is beside you on a three-lane merge.
Standard Aids
Standard Driver Assistance Features
All four trims leave the factory with the same six-feature suite fitted, from the entry car upward. What each of the six actually does:
- Forward Collision Alert warns you when you are closing on the vehicle ahead too quickly.
- Automatic Emergency Braking can apply the brakes if you do not react in time.
- Front Pedestrian Braking extends that detection to people in front of the vehicle.
- Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning nudges you back if you drift out of your lane without signalling.
- Following Distance Indicator shows, in seconds, how far back you actually are.
- IntelliBeam switches the high beams on and off for you on an unlit road.
An HD rear vision camera is also standard on every trim. None of the six is optional and none is reserved for a higher trim, which is the single most useful thing to know about this lineup's safety equipment.
Optional Aids
Available Driver Assistance and Packages
One package carries the aids that are not standard, and it costs $395 on any trim.
The Driver Confidence Package adds blind-zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert and rear park assist. Those three matter in three specific places: a lane change on a busy dual carriageway, backing out of a space in a full retail lot, and parallel parking on a street where the kerb is not where you expect it. At $395 on a $24,500 car it is the least expensive meaningful upgrade on the order form after the engine.

Two independent organisations test this vehicle and they measure different things. Both sets of published results are below, read at each organisation's own website on 6 August 2026, in their own vocabulary and with nothing added.
NHTSA, the federal programme
NHTSA is the US government's testing programme and reports in stars, out of five. Its results for the 2026 Trailblazer are identical for front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.

Two notes a buyer should take from the table: the headlight rating depends on which trim you order, and the IIHS front-crash-prevention tests were made materially harder in recent years, so a Poor there is not the same measurement older ratings described. Does the Trailblazer have wireless Apple CarPlay?
Yes. Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are both standard on every trim, so no cable is needed to mirror your phone.
Does the Trailblazer have Super Cruise?

The IIHS rates the headlights on the LS and LT Acceptable, and those on the RS and ACTIV Poor. If night driving on unlit roads is a large part of your week, that difference is worth weighing against the styling the RS and ACTIV bring.
Does the Trailblazer have a Wi-Fi hotspot?
Wi-Fi hotspot capability is available through OnStar and Connected Access, which comes with 10 years of standard connectivity on a new Trailblazer. A data plan is separate.
