About the 2026 Chevrolet Equinox
The compact Equinox lines up in three trims — LT, RS and ACTIV — each powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four making 175 horsepower, with front-wheel drive standard and all-wheel drive available for about $2,000 more. Front-drive models are rated at 26 mpg city and 29 mpg highway, enough range to make the I-78 and US-222 run into Greater Reading an easy one. Standard across the lineup: the 11.3-inch Google built-in screen, wireless phone projection, and the Chevy Safety Assist driver-aid suite.
Changes for 2026 are light: a Drive Mode Selector is now standard across the lineup, and Polar White Tricoat joins the color palette. Move up to RS or ACTIV and you add blind-spot and rear cross-traffic alerts, a hands-free power liftgate, and sport or all-terrain wheels.
